We are pleased to advise you that the Regional Schools Commissioner has confirmed the ‘Local Solution’ for the sponsorship of Brune Park School. The GFM (Gosport & Fareham Multi-Academy Trust) will initially consist of four schools; Bay House, Brune Park, Gomer Junior and LWS Academy. We continue to wait for the final decision on The Wave free-school application. The GFM aims to become a formal legal entity in March 2017.
We will brief you in more detail in the near future, although it remains very much business as usual at all the schools. We will continue to do all we can to support our learners in making excellent progress and achieving well. Staff meetings are also being held later this month at all the schools in the MAT to share the same information.
As you might be aware we are due some very cold weather over the next few days and we would like to ask that students arrive at the academy wearing appropriate clothing for the season.
The LWS uniform does consist of a Nike hoodie that is suitable to keep your son warm and black trousers, shorts should only be warn for sports activities.
On behalf of the Academy we would like to wish all our parents/carers and students a Happy New Year.
Students have settled back into school this week and we are sure they will be looking forward to a busy spring term ahead.
